Quiet Crimes is a band from Ottawa, Canada that play a style of rock music that is described as heavy and raw yet melodic in it's own dark way.
They appeared out of nowhere in late 2017 with a self titled EP and video for first single "Out Of View".
Their debut EP was mixed and mastered by Juno award winner Eric Ratz (Billy Talent, Danko Jones, The Arkells, Tegan and Sara, The Tea Party, Big Wreck, Big Sugar, etc.) and is available on Itunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon MP3 and all the popular online distributors as well as physically through http://quietcrimes.bandcamp.com
The video for the first single "Out Of View" is also the last music video ever shot at the legendary Ottawa music venue Zaphod Beeblebrox which was in the midst of closing its doors at the time of filming.
For the next couple of years they'd play as many shows as they can, tour the Canadian East coast and open for bands like Finger Eleven, Bif Naked, Pop Evil and more.
February 14th 2020 saw the release of a completely self produced second EP titled "Modern Lovers" and video for "Dream Thief".
A third release is already underway to be released before 2021.
Corona virus has put a stop to live shows for the time being but with tons of radio rotation in their own city and a few other locations like Montreal and London and a constant stage of writing new material, Quiet Crimes have no intention of slowing down anytime soon. Keep your ears and eyes peeled.
When shows are back on Quiet Crimes will itching to play some new songs in a live setting.
Thanks for your time.
